Volunteer!

LHF runs on the steam of volunteer support from kinksters and leather folks in communities that we serve. We couldn't do any of what we do without our volunteers!

LHF General Fund!

The Leather Heart Foundation raises funds and accepts donations so that we can provide financial assistance to members of our community during periods of unusual financial hardship. We pay utility bills, mortgage/rent and other costs related to staying warm, dry, and fed.

Mark "Spanky" Bialous "Quick Relief" Fund

This fund was created in 2014 when the Hooker and Boys event, 12 Days, made LHF a beneficiary. It was agreed that the funds, donated in memory of Spanky Bialous, would provide a source from which we can give limited assistance in a pretty big hurry. Usually this takes the form of a gift card to purchase food and essentials, payment of a past due bill to avoid cutoff, etc.*

SIR Alan Penrod "Bare Necessities" Fund

In January of 2014 Atlanta, and the country, unexpectedly lost SIR Alan Penrod who had been a long time supporter of LHF, and had recently been nominated to join the BOD. When his family asked that in lieu of flowers donations in his name be made to LHF, the response was overwhelming, so we named a fund to memorialize SIR Alan and his devotion to this cause. To date over $10,000 has been raised for the SIR Alan Penrod Bare Necessities Fund. This fund continues to fund our QR and Disaster Relief Funds, as well as our General Fund.*

My dad used to say, 'This is what your right arm’s for, son,' " John said. "This is the time and these are the people and I’d give my right arm to be a light, a comfort, to them. I know you would, too. In whatever form it takes. Use these materials and make something great. Do it on faith, knowing you probably won’t be around to see how the story ends.

Disaster Relief Fund

In 2014 the Board of Directors created the Disaster Relief Fund. This fund was originally created for our people affected by natural disasters such as floods, because that was the worst thing we could imagine at the time and we felt relatively safe; we never thought an attack like Orlando was coming. Now that it has, we have broadened the scope of the relief fund to include those in our community affected by hate crimes of this caliber as well as other national disasters.*

LHF Pins : Buy a pin, save the world!

OK, maybe not all that. But, if you buy a pin you do support our mission not only by contributing to our assistance funds, but also by increasing the visibility of the Leather Heart Foundation. The more people who know about us, the more people will have access to the assistance we can provide, hopefully before their situation becomes an emergency. Help support us, raise awareness about the assistance we provide, tell people you know to apply if they need help and to Donate or get involved if not. Oh, and, buy our pins!
